The Earth Charter Initiative is seeking to develop a world-wide base of support for the Earth Charter. The Initiative is promoting the use, implementation, an endorsement of the Earth Charter by individuals and organizations in all sectors of society. On March 2017 at its board Meeting, the Salaam Global Foundation endorsed the Earth Charter, and embraced the spirit and aims of the document. We have pledged to join the global partnership for a just, sustainable, and peaceful world and to work for the realization of the values and the principles of the Earth Charter:

• “Ecological Integrity”
• “Respect and Care for the Community of Life”
• “Social and Economic Justice” and
• “Democracy, Nonviolence, and Peace”

In regard to its mission to promote Salaam values among young people, SGF Youth Committee joined GSWIYU. SGF Youth Committee Vice-Chairman, Hamidreza Haddadi participated in Council of Members of Union on 16-17 December 2016 in Baku, Azerbaijan and presented SGF and its activities to member organizations.

According to GSWIYU Board decision on 17 December SGF was accepted as member organization from Iran.
